Mindless self indulgence

Adorbz.

so deliciously ratchett.

so deliciously ratchett.

Okay, so I always find myself telling my friends about things that work for me/where to shop/ how to save money etc. Or if they ask me one thing, I end up telling them about something else. I just like spreading the word on stuff that is ACTUALLY worthy of spending your money on. I know how hard it is to earn a dollar, so when I spend one, I actually want it to be worth my while. So I decided to do a series of tumblr posts on stuff that works for me & that I think more people should know about. You’re not obligated to use any of the things I recommend, but I always find myself googling reviews of things, & have gone through a TON of trial and error with various products/services/etc. I figure this way, you cut out the middle man & you get the good stuff right here. I don’t have many followers, but I figure at least ONE of the ones I do have will enjoy this. :)

Okay so this post is gonna be dedicated to my hair. I have curly, natural hair. I wouldn’t say its coarse by any means, but it is very THICK. Not only that, but it doesn’t do too well with tons of oily products in it. As you can imagine I’ve tried A LOT of products on my hair. A lot of it was crap that was expensive and yielded undesirable results. I recently started using the Moisturizing Moroccan Argan Oil line of products by Organix. You can get this stuff at Walmart/Target/CVS etc. (I was at CVS yesterday and it was buy 1 get one 50% off) I originally found out about the products when I was nannying. The family I nanny for is a mixed family (The parents are white & have an adoptive daughter from Ethiopia). Being that they have difficulty catering to hair of color, the mom was always looking for good products to use on her daughter. She introduced me to this and I was hooked! I first only started to use the Moroccan oil (which, is normally REALLY expensive at hair salons) and I was satisfied with it but not stunned. Then I started using the entire set (shampoo, conditioner, moisturizing deep conditioner and the oil) and Im just in love with all of it. It’s literally for any hair type. It smells awesome and its so good for your hair. I just love it. Each product runs anywhere between $6-$8. My two favorite things out of the set are definitely the conditioner and the oil. I wash my hair, condition it, throw some oil in it, wrap it in a scarf and the next day its curly perfection. Anywho, bottom line, great product, reasonable price for the quality, totally worth the buy.

I hope this helps someone :)
